Junk in the Albatross

August 7, 2009 by ragingcaveman

Today, I am pissed off. I’ve been sitting here watching Planet Green channel, a show called “Natural World: Hawaii, Message in the Waves”. The story is about how PLASTIC is killing nature. That’s right plastic. Here’s the upsetting part. The Albatross is the largest marine gull, basically a huge seagull. It’s specific to the Pacific and it’s land habitat is extremely limited. The nest on Midway Island and several other smaller, lesser known islands throughout the Pacific.

In the past few years, the Albatross has been suffering from rising mortality rates in young birds and chics. The reason? You won’t believe it. How does PLASTIC sound? That’s right. The rotting carcasses of the dead young reveals a gut full, I mean a pound or two of plastic!!!! Every dead bird is full of plastics and thus, their stomachs can’t process real food. They get weak and never make it to maturity.

You might be thinking “well that’s just a stupid bird if it can’t tell the difference between inedible and edible stuff”. I might agree with you and then assume they should have been extinct by now from eating rocks… but they are not. So the issue is not one of intelligence, it is one of evolution. For a million years, the predecessors  of the Albatross learned to scavenge from the surface of the ocean. Flying, skimming the water, covers a lot of area in a short time. With a keen eye, the Albatross finds meals floating on the surface and snaps these morsels up in flight and regurgitates them to it’s chicks back at the nest. Before industrial mankind arriving on the scene, the stuff found floating ont he oceans surface was mostly edible matter. Dead fish, squid, leaves, plants, parts of animals, insects, etc.

Then man came along and took a shit on the planet. Taking everything for granted, mankind mindlessly pursued their wants, manufacturing their desires, designed for convenience, from unnatural materials, without any concept of how to dispose of those materials. Actually there wasn’t much thought given to nature and ideas like harmful effects on nature. The nifty and convenient plastics that have been designed int he past 100 years, though very useful, are also very harmful, but not just in the ways we;ve all learned about. Plastics turn out to just be “drain clogging” material, that is nearly impossible to breakdown by any natural means. Too bad, because in the past 80 years we’ve made so much of it, that we can’t handle the waste. Now a mat of plastic THE SIZE OF TEXAS (OMG!!) floats in the middle of the pacific, feeding itself to unknowing birds like the Albatross.

Just watch the seagulls at your local beach one day and see how they deal with the garbage cans on the beach. They rummage and pick through it, fight over it and then GOBBLE IT DOWN!. I have watched them eat inedibleslike tin foil, plastic, string, all sorts of junk, but I never put two and two together because they were raiding the garbage can, not the other way around. Now the garbage is invading the nature, and the nature is losing.

What will we do about this mess we’ve made? How about we won’t do anything. The governments will use our lethragy as a reason to impose total control and order you and 10,000 of your equals, to go out in the Pacific in dinghies, with garden rakes and a few 48 packs of Hefty bags, and clean up the mat of refuse floating around the pacific.

If you don’t believe this posting or you think it’s bullshit, exaggerated or embellished, then go do your homework, it’s as simple as watching the Discovery channel sometimes.

Gloomy and sad for the Albatross and all wildlife suffering from man’s nearsightedness,

God Works In Chaotic Ways

February 8, 2009 by ragingcaveman

The intent of this note is to log the concept and to share my recent perspectives on the eternal arguments of science vs. religion on the existence of God. I tend to think outside the county where the box is, and I think I have a pretty different view of things. This is all my own opinion and I am not trying to push a belief system of anything on anyone. I like sharing on a deeper level. The mind is a terrible thing in vinegar, and worse in a hot cranium exposed to the sun, worse even more if inside a head in perfect condition but is completely unused! Your comments are welcome and all I can say is ‘watch what you wish for’ :)

GOD WORKS IN CHAOTIC WAYS

From chaos emerge patterns. Patterns infer logic. Logic emerges naturally from all chaotic systems. One might see an implication that life and intelligence emerged as a factor of pattern emergence from chaotic systems. What if creation is cunningly disguised as randomness. Trees grow in recognizable forms, follow very predictable grow stages, but their form cannot be predicted along the way. Where a branch will grow out from the trunk and where that branch will divide into two, can never be predicted. We can only describe the processes that grow a tree and define the parameters of the physical nature and it’s anticipated appearance, and even make assertions about the required conditions to grow one, but how the tree reaches it’s final form, the circumstances that arise to determine the branching of that tree we can never predict.

To grow a tree, we simply plant the seed and water it. We do not control every aspect and moment of the growth of the tree. The process and method is embedded in the genetic root of the tree. The genetic root of the tree is like the super-conscious of the tree. The tree cannot perceive itself but if it could, it would not know that it looks the way it does because it was predestined to by it’s DNA structure. Well we could never imagine that we would be predestined but what if we are? What if God exists, how does this relate to creation?

We think of God creating the universe like a carpenter building a house, one piece at a time, involved in every single aspect and detail of that house. Is that how God would build a universe this big or would the ’seed planting concept’ be easier to swallow? Let’s look at some of the known science of chaos for a moment. Once we learned how matter works, the basics of what it is as a particle based reality, we could begin to understand how various forms of matter act in chaotic systems and even begin to calculate probability within the chaos, or logic in the randomness. Weather systems and fluid dynamic systems are the most frequently and most accurately calculated systems by our most powerful computers. More recently long term climate models, population models, traffic models, all have been created to calculate to a certain degree of probability, the possible outcomes of various scenarios. The point is that chaos is in a way predictable, if one has a great understanding of the substance and the systems. Then, something like the grand scheme of “creation” can entertain a new concept to explain it.

Science today has come a long way from the “particle understanding” to explain what matter is. Today, quantum physics is graciously unravelling what is at the root of matter and surprisingly, I called it on my predictions of what that outcome would be. It will soon be lab tested, but the math, based on the entire scientific history of particle physics, quantum mechanics and chaos mathematics, that at the root of the smallest particle of matter, is an infinite energy. This energy exhibits a frequency equal to that of thought. Huh!!!??!!! yes, thought. Almost two years before looking to recent quantum physics studies, from my own deductions based on biblical, scientific and some ancient concepts, came to the conclusion the we exist inside a thought in the mind of God. I am certainly not the first to say that, but may be the first to think of it the way I do and I will explain.

This energy at the heart of matter, is the fabric of space/time itself. It is a consciousness, yet it is pure energy, a base form for all energy, in the way that Hydrogen is the root of all atoms, from which all the elements were created. Simply put, matter is made of energy, energy that is proving to be a consciousness. This says that the rationale and logic that science says it finds everywhere in the make up of matter and energy, is there not by chance but by intent. This would mean that the energy from which the universe emerged, is intelligent. What we do know about consciousness is that it is truly infinite. Imagination, dreams, thoughts, all are endless. Memory is something else and mainly physiologically vulnerable, but thought is endless.

Matter is limited and very finely tuned and it must stay in tuning or else it changes. Chemist and physicist know this and do this everyday, light a match and you can see it. Thought is endless and can be tuned in to any frequency, it has no specific tuning. There is a ‘hiss’ of the root energy or consciousness, because what we call thought, is the universe, like static on your TV. In our minds we can experience eternity because there, we are directly exposed to the root energy of all matter, the fabric of space/time. Technically, if we could tune our thoughts, we could manifest matter from nothing, instantly! But our brains and our overall physiology seems to have been shackled to inescapable limitation, the body made of matter. I will explain this later, but this is not accidently possible.

So it seems that the complexity of the universe and logic within all matter and energy, the fine tuning of the universe and life, are all a lot to ask of randomness and chaos. But if there was enough random matter, and it was known what that matter would do when in certain conditions, then a prediction of the outcome could be made. What if the higher being of God, can manifest matter by manipulating energy frequencies with his conscience, forming an energetic projection of his visions, as eternal as His thought, as all thought is. The projection was a scattering of raw, pure thought energy, and in it were whatever frequencies are found in a state of absolute love, joy, positivity, but in it were also ambiguities, negatives. The proportions had to be biased to create tendencies of attraction, or gravitation of frequencies to one another, merging and amplifying, stacking and structuring, forming basic particles, forming the basic atom, Hydrogen.

Based on the principals of chaos mathematics and quantum mechanics, this mass of energy and Hydrogen scattered into this void of space, had properties that define it as a chaotic system. Polarities emerge from concentrations of energy or matter and gravitation emerges, pulling matter together. Electromagnetism pulls the energies together and frequency interference locks, or sub-atomic forces create, the particles of matter from energy. The chaos is now showing a logical pattern, a structure. This structure emerged only because there was a rational thought, a state of mind so to speak, when the universe was conceived. That state of being produced a variety of very specific frequencies in the super-consciousness. Those frequencies created points of interaction that set off a series of predictable circumstances based on specific determination of certain variables. We call these circumstances “The Laws of Physics”. The determination, or the LOP, was made by the origin’s state of mind. This is what I meant when I said we could create matter from thought if only we could tune our minds the right way. Being physically hindered, screams of a logical decision to make us this way. Give us the power of eternity in thought, but the brutal mortality of the physical container.

When we process chaotic system equations, there is one common attribute amongst all of them, including the creation of the universe by virtue of a thought manifest into a mass of energy and matter; they all require the initial input for at least one variable, a 0 or a 1. Even when a computer is processing a ‘random’ equation, it is far from random. The computer uses an ‘algorithm’ which is a sort of mathematical definition for a function, and it uses this algorithm to determine the input for the variable at any given point in the time line. But this is not random. Whether the computer chooses 0 or 1, and chooses to do so at any given time, it is creating an intentional input.

The input is only random depending on how you view the scenario. Mathematically, it is totally random. Perceptually it is calculated and intentional. The patterns that emerged from primordial soup of after the big kaboom we’re predictable, calculable and followed the laws of physics, thus in eventuality, the patterns that would emerge could be anticipated with confidence. The chaos eventually got more and more tuned until it produced what we know as physical consciousness. Eventually the same processes produce the capacity for intellect. It is then that the super-conscience got involved with the creation, upon the emergence of the anticipated form of matter, man, that could feel the universe, give meaning to the meaningless, and understand reality from a unique perspective, for which it was specifically designed.

Hiding intention in seeming randomness is not a new idea, but applied to God and the creation scenarios, tying in science and ancient knowledge with the biblical perspectives, it certainly is. Governments have played the game of hiding and carrying out intentional actions veiled in a disguise of randomness or chaos. Flirting, playing stupid, teaching are sometimes like that and so many other ways exist where we do the very same thing. Mathematicians have shown us that logic is inevitable in chaotic systems, science has shown logic is built into nature, and the bible has stated clearly “God is IN everything”. The secret to the scripture for me lay in the correct perception of the literal and the metaphoric resulting in finding and following good leads outside the Bible.

Not one of these paths can alone, prove God, but together, they seem to be turning the backstage lights on and revealing the truths of the universe, at least for myself. I’ve found that most times, the scientists are trying to disprove a God, and the religious say science is the work of the devil. Well I think they are both wrong. Science is merely the study of how thing s works, what is matter. Religion is the study of God. So for the religious, if God made everything, then with science you can understand how and from what thing s are made. You can understand the specialty that you are as a human being. Fact is truth, and for scientists, fact is proof. Inevitably though, science will sniff around and continue to follow the path of factual truth as it reveals itself. Unfortunately for their ego, if that path, the path of factual truths, aka evidence, leads to the feet of the creator, well then they may finally agree, that science is only the study of God’s works.

We do live in a special time, the time of the end of times. When the minds of all people are in line with the one truth, there will truly be no more acceptable differences. No borders, no nations, no races, no cultures, just one elevated humanity ready to see the next step, the last ‘time’. I believe that will be the the last phase before the shackles of the physical reality’s limitations will be removed and our experience of 10,000 years will have provided the wisdom for us to move on to higher living and new priorities.

Obama Clamping Down On Emissions

January 27, 2009 by ragingcaveman

Sounds like a medical thing. Ha! I am referring to Obama’s plan of putting a choke-chain on the auto-makers regarding stricter emissions controls. Looks like someone needs some schooling. Class is now in session.

Waving the finger and stomping the feet will not magically manifest a solution to emissions controls. Passing dictatorship style laws and making new ‘green crimes’ for leverage of control, will not make the science needed to further cut emissions in existing engine designs. Passing these laws that are merely a show of force, a facade for the masses to believe that the administration is actually being responsible, will not make it possible for the manufacturers to shit money and fund such an expensive proposition.

The auto-makers are already at the limits of what can be done, without reinventing the combustion engine or moving to a new fuel altogether. A trend of blaming the car-makers for emissions output as though they invented the oil industry has started that is unfair and suspicious.

Obama, is planning to posture harshly against the auto-makers and the states are backing him. This is a big problem. The auto guys were just looking for a bailout as they can’t afford to sneeze right now so where will they get the dough to rub the magic lamp? What does the wise reincarnation of Horus say is the answer? Squeezing them! Who thinks that will make miracles happen, raise your hand? Put your hand down, I can’t see you.

This is not a policy of change by far. There is a solution that is far cheaper. To cut down emissions any further then they have been, on the existing engine designs, would require more computers, more very expensive to mine and rare metals, and the very expensive time of the minds required to reinvent emissions control. But there is not talk of shit-canning the oil and using something cleaner, asap. The illusion is that that is future technology is 20 years down the road. That is a crock of shit.

Methane and propane have been used in buses and commercial applications for over 25yrs. Hydrogen systems have been in existence for over 20yrs. Biomass Diesel can be made now as there is more than ample scrap bio-mass world wide, primarily coming from the food industry. These all would provide far less emissions and actually save some money in manufacturing as they would reduce the need for those rare metals and extra electronics. This is the weaning off of oil that Obama and others have spoken about and here is the opportunity for real change and he’s blowing it.

Stricter standards on emissions will not manifest anytime soon, and the plan affects cars from 2011 on. By then we could do more than reduce emissions, like eliminate them altogether but only by aggressively pursuing existing science in Hydrogen On Demand. It’s been done in 91 to 96. Perfected. It exists. I know others doing it with barely any money. By 2010 we could have cars that fill up with water for far less money, and much greater ease. Reducing emissions is not the answer. Changing the fuel is and if you know what your talking about, you know the only solution.

Lane Choice

January 27, 2009 by ragingcaveman

Hot headed and sweating with fury. That’s the general state of mind I am in after driving, anywhere, on any road, for just 10 minutes. What is happening on the road that could possibly justify my outrage? What kinds of things could go on on the road to enrage even the most even-keeled individual? Ok, let’s go there.

The fact is that the most unimaginable things happen on the road every day. Let’s take a quick look at the highway. What is it? It’s a BIG road with at least three (3) lanes, constructed to move huge volumes of cars at express speeds, to various points in a locale. The idea of the highway was speed and convenience, as it offers a much faster way to get across greater distances without having to take side-roads all the way there.

That was the intent of the highway, but the actuality is that there are rules that govern a highway that were also part of the design. These rules are not rules as in “domineering government trying to tell you what to do” but rather rules like gravity holds planets in orbit only if they are at a certain distance from the host planet relative to their wieght. Did you get that? Too complicated for the smaller intellects? Ok, here’s another natural rule. Eating soup requires a spoon. Try eating soup with a fork and see how far you get, but do it in private or you’ll be put in a mental institution for even trying. Why? Because it should be pretty obvious even to a retarded person, that forks are not made for liquids.

Why am I taking such an arrogant posture and such a demeaning tone? Let’s think of this all from a rarely considered perspective. The highway is a soup so to eat from it you need a spoon. That’s natural. When the highway was designed, it was primarily conceived with 3 lanes. The lanes are not arbitrary, they have priority and function, very specifically. The rules are so simple, you might start feeling your blood boil as you read the obvious.

The left lane is for faster traffic and/or (depending on locale) passing only. The left lane, in places where traveling in it is acceptable full time, is also for traffic that is going the longest distance, thus it’s expected that the speeds in the left lane will be somewhat higher than the posted speed limit as those drivers are hoping to shorten the time to their distance. That was the virtue behind the design of the highway: getting there faster.

The middle or center lane is called the cruising lane. This is the lane where the majority of traffic is supposed to settle into a cruising speed, usually the speed limit or slightly faster. 4 lane highways have two middle lanes to accommodate more of what should be steadily moving traffic.

Last is the right lane. This is the referred to quite often as the “granny lane”. It is the slower traffic lane. Heavy trucks, trailers, motor homes, old people, stuff like that, that needs to go A LITTLE slower than the speed limit. It is also the exit and entrance lane, where it is easiest to get on and off the highway.

The rules are obviously pretty simple. They are more like attributes of the design than rules, and they are not posted. Should they be? Well if the world wants to act like a bunch of ignoramusi, then they should be treated as they wish to. Sounds harsh I know but let’s talk now about the horrifying human displays of utter ignorance on the road.

The most typical things I encounter on the road are basically any combination of the following:

1. People traveling 30 mph, that’s 20 – 35 mph BELOW the minimum posted speed limit, in the left or middle lanes, and many times, all of the world is obviously trying to pass them and get around them, yet they insist on driving in that lane regardless of any inconvenience to the rest of humanity. The idiots who do this don’t have the cranial capacity to figure out that what they do affects everyone around them and behind them. In heavy volume situations, the effect of just one of these morons can cause a back up or slow down that stretches tens of miles behind them, causing ‘false’ traffic. If you keep and eye out for this sort of thing, you will find that the major culprits are old people, women, asians, and big pissed off neanderthal types just itching for a fight. Don’t believe me? Pay attention on the road and you’ll see exactly what I am talking about. Sometimes the truth is harsh, but rather then take it as a wake up call, most will just be offended when they see their reflections in this blog.

2. Braking for ghosts. Yep, they exist apparently on the highways and roads of the planet. I’ve even seen video of stupidity such as this on the highways in other countries. This is a humanity problem, affecting all nationalities and ethnicities, but some of these are notoriously idiotic. People traveling in a lane, usually speed limit or less, with no one, for a long distance or at all, in front of them, and as soon as you get about three to five car lengths from them, THEY BRAKE! Upon regular observation, I’ve found that they all, are beaming into their rear-view mirror, the whole time, watching you approach, not watching for the chipmunk they just ran over, and when they see you get closer, it’s as though they think that by braking, they will miraculously slow down your car!! Holy crap, I am starting to sweat just writing this.

3. Random lane changers. These cats are the ones you see, many times in no-traffic situations, who are casually doing the speed limit, or less, seemingly stable and well-paced, in the middle lane, and you are doing 10-20 mph over the limit cruising fast and comfortable, in the left lane. Just about the moment you are about to pass, they decide for no reason, to change into your lane! They are not going at your speed and they had no obstruction in their lane, they just see you coming and subconsciously, their primitive lizard brain, tells them to jump in your way.

4. Texters. All I can say is if this needs any explanation, you are one of them. They should lose their license for life and never be allowed near a car ever again. Or, they should be made to eat their phone. Either way they will feel an almost equally discomforting effect as what they freely provide the world around them when they drive.

5. Babble-on-ers. Like texters, these cats talk forever. These are lonely, attention starved, egomaniacs, that love to hear themselves talk, even to the point where driving is secondary to talking, reason is secondary to stupidity. Same as texters, these people should lose their privileges.

6. Short Stops. Slamming your brakes on because you are being summoned by the car behind you to move out of the way, is not a smart thing to do. It is also a move of aggression and can incite a psycho to take actions against you that you will not like. Some people will go to extremes to express their dislike of you for being so arrogant. It’s better to heed the petition to change lanes then to argue. Most than likely if you are one of those that gets high-beamed alot, you are also most likely a slow-poke, going to slow for the lane.

7. Un-signaler. These people have a disease. This is a growing plague that affects the reasoning center of the brain, usually caused by a growing sense of stupidity brought on by an undue sense of egomania. The people who are guilty of this one are probably the most ignorant of all. I have received “the bird” gesture when attempting to enlighten these scumbags to the error of their ways and most of the time the wife and baby are in the vehicle with them! What examples of adulthood they are don’t you think? More often then one might think, it’s the chic that flips the bird, when she’s alone in the car or with child. That’s crazy! Do that to the wrong person and you will make the news under the headline of missing person. Are people really that stupid and arrogant? Yes they sadly are.

Not signaling has some parallels that after hearing them, should be convincing enough to inspire even the most diseased minds to heed this warning. It can be compared to leaving work without telling anyone or your boss, complaining to the waitress that your order is taking to long even though you never ordered, jogging side by side with your friend and then cutting a sudden, unannounced turn across their path, tripping them and causing them to fall and bust all their front teeth out. It can be compared to pitching a baseball at someone when they don’t expect it, swinging an ax around in a crowd without warning everyone, shooting a shotgun in a McDonalds unannounced. Yes all these sound crazy and I am sure you’d all say you’d never do any of these. Only crazy people do such things. Then you agree that un-signalers are crazy people, willing to disregard the existence of other vehicles and people at the risk of death or injury. They are willing to put aside reason for stupidity.

So those are the main things that you’ll find, commonly, on any road, any where in the world, to greater or lesser degrees based on your locale. In the US, these problems are outrageous. We are not a backward, third world nation. We are the pinnacle of the motor-sports phenomenon, the producer of some of the greatest drivers in history, makers of muscle cars and performance exotics, custom vehicles and hot rods. Then why the heck do we have such problems on the road?

The answer lies in the education of drivers. The system for this education is so poor and unrealistic, that basically the licensing system in America is like giving everyone an eye chart test for a license to be a brain surgeon. Driving is a deadly affair. Repairs are costly, injuries are life altering, and these drive insurance rates through the roof. Blame yourselves for rising rates and frivolous lawsuits. You make them happen by not taking personal responsibility to be better at everything you do. Learning doesn’t end when you leave school and it’s an honorable person who continues to pursue knowledge, training and embetterment.

The 7 common faults of most drivers that I pointed out, along with a great lacking in personal integrity in so much of our “self-absorbed” society, creates most of the traffic we ever experience. No matter how many lanes we make on our highways, they will never make enough to eliminate traffic. That’s because volume is not the problem. Inept drivers are the problem.

If you are fearful, untrained, inexperienced (no matter how many years one drives point A to point B, that is not experience. There are methods to experience real driving dynamics and educate by feel), air brained, scatter brained, uncoordinated , blind, paraplegic, retarded, lobotomized, stroked out, stricken with Alzhiemer’s, etc., you should not be anywhere near a car. You should figure out realistically what your limitations are and admit them, then find ways to live around those limitations, and there is less shame in that then to be a suck-ass driver and then so arrogant and insane as to defend your deadly stupidity by arguing pointlessly or flipping people the bird or taking aggressor actions like jamming on the brakes.

A proper licensing and education system would cure the problem. More than 50% of all drivers would not pass, proving to be just plain too incompetent to drive a car, some even a bicycle, and many more would be restricted to secondary and tertiary roads. Those who would be fully licensed would have the confidence in their fellow driver, knowing that to acquire their licenses, they had to undergo difficult hands on driving tests and challenges to physically prove their merit. Germany does things much like that. My idea for a system considers the ever growing population and the fuel shortage issue that is inevitable as well as a structure much like the German system.

Trained drivers can go 75 mph bumper to bumper, 120 mph when there is light or no traffic without issue. They would accelerate timely and confidently at lights and on highway entrance ramps. They would signal whenever needed, starting from a distance before the move, that would allow others time to react, simply put, it’s apparent that people are such sheep and self-made ignoramusi, that what aught to be the natural affections of human consideration, actually need to be infused through training. I thought that was what happened as we grew up from children but I guess driving exposes the lack of integrity in human rearing.

Mothers tell children getting their licenses, not to talk on the cell and drive, while they themselves get in their way-too-big SUV, to drive their 100 lb asses to the nail salon, while jabbering on the phone the whole time. It’s time to end this. We have bred fear into drivers by telling them of the horrors of driving but offering no education. This is the reason for the exasperating slowness in overall drivers. There is no reason why an EXPRESSWAY or a FREEWAY with a speed limit of 65 mph, should ever experience traffic as slow as 10 mph, and stopping is only for emergencies.

But as much as we hate traffic, we make it happen, we perpetuate it, and if anyone tells us, like I am doing, we will repel it and scorn the lecturer. Then one day when you drive off the road because some texter ran you into a tree and you watch your kid go flying through the front window and smash his skull like a cantaloupe on that tree, you can blame yourself while placing his funeral flowers at the foot of that tree every year, for not educating yourself in defensive and offensive driving, and not doing something like passing the word to your own friends to be wise about texting and driving. You can blame your own, dignified, adult self, your egomania-saturated greatness, your self-appointed most-importantness, for the wonderful mess you inevitably will make. You can thank yourself for the indignities on the road because you don’t care. That shows, in the inconsiderate actions of the majority.

The saddest image for me is getting flipped off by a guy with M.D. plates, for high-beaming him out of the left lane for going 40 mph, holding back a mile of 3 lane highway. One guy, a doctor, who is supposed to care about people, is the cause of traffic, and when told, he gives you the finger. How good of a doctor is he, if on the road, his pisses on his patients? The same goes for teachers, professionals, executives, mothers, young people, little people. Sad but true that these people are most commonly at fault for the worst, dumbest moves on the road, and they are the main cause of traffic. They need more than a driving education. They need a class in dignity.

Some key things to consider about driving that if you look these up, study driving you’ll find them to be true. Speed doesn’t kill. It gets you where your going today. Bad driving kills. Driving 60 mph for 10 min gets you 6 miles. Going 30 mph, the same 6 miles takes 20 min. Moving a car at 60 mph generates more momentum then at 30 mph, meaning the engine works harder for longer to go 30 mph then to go 60 mph. So 10 min at 60 mph uses the same gas or less then 20 min at 30 mph. The difference is more noticeable the longer the distance. Traffic that crawls at 5 mph for 1 1/2 hrs to make a journey that otherwise should take no more than 15 min at 60mph, wastes 1 1/2 times as much gas, and eats up time, and time is money when we’re talking about rush hour and people trying to get to work. Millions per hour are lost in fuel and business every day, everywhere, all because people do not know how to drive, well.

No one needs to be Mario Andretti, but driving is not a casual affair and should be treated with far more respect, starting with the average person up. Look at the cars manufacturers put out. Their commercials rave about performance, but in reality you find those same cars stuck in brutally slow traffic, on erroneously named EXPRESSWAYS.

I’m not saying these people, most of them as I put it, are bad people inherently, no. I am saying that these are people that are otherwise very good people, generous, warm, compelling, sweet, nice, but somehow when they get in a car, their brains take the train. It doesn’t take much effort to make yourself a better driver, a real driver. The first thing one needs to do is be considerate. Consideration for others in a public forum such as a highway will cure 50% of all traffic indignities. If you wouldn’t fart in Church, then why would you do the equivalent on the road.

I won’t be a prick and complain about this and then not provide some sort of leads for those who, even if only in private, recognize themselves in this blog. I don’t mean to be offensive nor do I hate anyone. I drive fast but I have been studying and practicing performance driving all my life and I am 41 now. In a car, I am as comfortable as in my own skin. Speed only becomes scary now around 150 mph for me, and there is not much that happens that I don’t already expect, so I never find myself at the mercy of the overwhelming ignorance. My reflexes are well honed from the past 7 years of performance driving practice and schooling from professional drivers. You can do the same.

I have watched 55 year old moms come out to these driving affairs and after two or three sessions, these moms are no longer grannies behind the wheel. Screeching tires and hard acceleration, mashing brakes and knarly cornering, you’d think these ladies were the young guys playing for fun. I’ve spoken to them, and inquired about their experience on the road after these sessions. The recurring response is overwhelming confidence. What they experience at these sessions, they realize they might rarely ever be in a similar situation on the road, but if they were, the know they are ready. Secondly, speed is no longer a scary thing for them, driving slow doesn’t make sense to them any more. Not that they became speed demons but now they understand that in the left lane, it’s expected that you do at least the 5 mph over the limit. That is even the acceptable overage by the police. Not to mislead, the limit is what’s posted, but the cops know that if a driver has his wits about him, there is no big deal about being a few miles over. As long as they are not wreckless, driving dangerously or wildly, there is no issue.

Everyone can be a better driver and if you want to see the end of traffic, start with yourself. Trust me when I say that if you were to pursue a driving education, attend performances driving clinics and such, your friends would be so curious they’d start joining you and soon the circle of influence spreads. In a  few years, we could all be ready for the road and traffic would be a memory only found in history books.

Below are a few key words you can use to search through Google.com and find a variety of driving education methods and courses. These will make you a driver. I will gather some links and post them here too. My best wishes to you all.

Search Terms: type thse into the Google.com search.

driving clinic, performance driving school, offensive driving school, defensive driving school, autocross school (these are the best way to learn to drive at real life speeds), performance driving clinic, car handling clinic.

Also look up autocross clubs. There is an autocross club in just about every region of the us, within 30 miles of any location, except the desert. A few dollars gets you in to their events, with your own car. some are there to compete, some for fun and the rest to learn how to handle their car. The clubs are run by aged and schooled drivers, and there are always pro-drivers around as instructors to teach and coach, no charge. These are volunteer run clubs, sanctioned by nationally acclaimed sanctioning bodies such as the Sports Car Club of America. join one and tell them Bo from the NY Region SCCA sent you.

The 44th Presidential Inauguration

January 20, 2009 by ragingcaveman

January 20th 2009

President Barack Obama just finished his inaugural speech, moments ago, and wow, I am impressed. Either he memorized the hell of out of a very well written speech or he was speaking from the heart. It seemed to me the latter was the case. Obama really seems to be a smart guy, dignified and confident and not at all dopey, as a certain predecessor was. Bravo Mr. Obama. I hope you can figure out this whole business of truth once and for all, for the sake of all the struggling, hardworking people you spoke of, excluding myself being a free-loading do-not-so-much.

Let’s be confident and think positive thoughts. Give Mr. Obama your telepathic support, pray for him and us. If you don’t believe in God, then show your support by overlooking the details of the individual and looking at the bigger picture to make your judgments, and your choices, in the course of life. This goes for all, be united in principal.

My prayers and best hopes go out to President Obama.

Little Tiny Flags

January 20, 2009 by ragingcaveman

January 20th 2009

Look at all those little American flags waving. Have you ever asked yourself who makes them? I’ll bet anything most of them as manufactured in China. What an irony that would be. Yes, I am talking about the bizillion little flags being waved by the crowd of what seemed to be the largest turnout in ages for a presidential inauguration. On this day Barack Obama made was another reason for those little flags to be made and purchased.

On a serious note, I do know where some of those flags do come from. A large percentage, if not all of them, are made by various groups of retired veterans and citizens giving their time, more or less because they are old and bored, but none-the less, giving their time freely because they love this nation, their nation. Those little flags mean a lot, even though I poke fun, I honor them all the more. Our flag, is not a flag. It is a symbol of what man can do, and has done and how far we can come when we come together and do it as one. Ok I won’t get mushy, but just to be clear, I love my country and I love it’s flag. God Bless America.

Bush On The Outs

January 20, 2009 by ragingcaveman

January 20, 2009. Let’s kick the mule while he’s down and walking out the door. I know, mule might be to honorable as a metaphor for Geedub.

So here I am watching the Obama Inauguration and the news cameras are picking up on Bush walking down the corridors of a now strange place, to meet his fate, the exit door. I just couldn’t help noticing the look on his face. It seems there were many feelings and thoughts going through that little mind of his on this day. I’d like to make some assumptions of what he seemed to be projecting.

At times that look took on the appearance of a man who was about to be thrown in prison with all those he prosecuted and put there. At other times he looked like a small child who had his toy voted away from him, but still felt it was unfair. Even so, the effort to keep from foot-stomping in frustration, was very clear. I almost feel sorry, almost. Maybe the presidency has touched a part of his person deep in his heart, and maybe this will bring him to one day truly ponder the devastation he created. That was another look on his face today, a sort of  ”oh boy, I hope none of what I did catches up with me”. He’s back to being one of us again, as much as that brings down our ratings as a whole, he’s a plain dude, that just happens to have been one of the most perplexing presidents ever, for two terms, once. That other look on is face today was the one we might anticipate: the look of having lost his power, like Samson after his haircut.

Good luck George, hope all goes well for you, as it always does for the blue-bloods. Maybe he’ll wrote a book, a tell-all and come clean. The would be acceptable and gracious and I think the American people would even appreciate and honor him for that. Now let’s see what the man in charge will do with this great Obama-nation.

Black People, It’s The End of The Line

January 20, 2009 by ragingcaveman

That’s right! It’s the end of the line, black people. It’s the end of the line for all the issues against the white man. Today, January 20th 2009, Mr. Barack H. Obama, has be officiated as the 44th president of the United States and the 1st black president. That means black people have now achieved all the goals of status that any race could hope for. They have held every office in politics. The are found in every level of every type of profession from the least to the greatest. They super-rich and super poor. They ride in the front of the bus, and even get to drive it. Black people have done everything white people have done and today, are officially (in my view) absolved of being black. They are now just Americans.

There is no difference between white and black anymore since they now have equal experience. I’ve never seen them as different. They have seen themselves as different and pointed that out all too clearly all too often. I, who am of immediate European decent, know that my family going far back in history, has never had or kept a single black slave or any for that matter, Yet I have been attacked for my race by blacks, numerous times, in conversation and debate not physically. They never hated me because I am too cool for that, but I do speak my mind freely and accept critisim and debate eagerly. Maybe General Ascius had black slaves being a Roman general but then again he would have had multi-color slaves as the Romans made slaves not by color but by will. I mention General Ascius who was in charge of the Eastern position of the Roman empire as Constantine’s right hand man, because as I trace back my lineage, there is a strong possibility that I may be directly descended from him. He spent long periods of time in the city I was born in.

Today, the ultimate goal for any race, has been achieved for the black race, and not by virtue of race, but by virtue of qualification. Time to write victory rap, time to partner with the whites in harmony, time to unite as a nation, not as a people or as a race. No longer can the idea of inequality be promoted. No longer can the notion of being held back be a reason. We have always been equal in my mind, but many on both sides have proven that large portions of society are still lacking in virtue. So what, the proof is now there for the unbelieving. A black man is president. For those who don’t like it, too bad, deal with it.

To me he’s just a man who has been privileged as only a handful ever have and ever will be. he’s a man who has to prove his honor, not for his race, but for his country. his job will be a little more difficult because of those who will take the inevitable mistakes that he will make as all humans make, learning and growing in the 1st time experience of being president, and make those moments into attacks on his integrity as an incompetence of his race. Bulldinkies. Look who preceded him. Can one be more dopey than that? Can one say Barack will make mistakes for the reasons that Bushman did? I don’t think so. Proof was the inaugural speech, visibly honest and heartfelt.

Black people, white people, kiss and make up God damnit! I am tired of the differences that don’t exist and the troubles that has caused. One final thought for the more thuggy crowd, both white and black. That scene aught be done away with not by force but by choice. There is no reason to be thuggy anymore. The system is obviously not against you. There’s black man in the house now. Obviously the system works, very well. There is no more reason to for defiance. All the effort thugs put into being thugs, could get them to great heights of achievment and respect, if only applied to honorable goals. White thugs, black thugs, let it go. Let’s focus on each other as one giant family. We all hurt, we all feel pain, no matter how strong we seem on the outside, no matter what color we are, we all can love. WE ALL CAN LOVE. Start loving.

Now to address the Chinese! LOL!
